Okay, where do I start? Oh yes! This is a very impressive art piece indeed. The idea of a magic avian beside a boy under water is very unique and original. I like your color choice for the under water theme, but it would of had more of an impact if you use this technique that adds different hues of color to make the highlights and shadows. For example, it looks like you shaded the boys hair using different shades of one color. Instead you could of had that green as a base color, but added a dark blue for the shading and a hint of yellow for the highlights since the sun usually shines down on water.

Let's see what else? Your shading/coloring. It could have been a bit more neater with that. It kinda looks as if you wanted to soften it all out. You could have used different brushes or techniques to give your piece different textures for extample, the boys hair could have been more sleek with some, not a lot, of hair strands defined. Or the highlights on the bird could be brighter to give it a more shinier appearance since feathers are usually shiny when they are wet.

I hope this helped you out a bit. I don't know what program you use, but each one has a wide variety of brushes, effects, tools that can be use at your advantage. you should explore some of them.

P.S. I love your bubbles, you made them clear instead of coloring them in blue like most people!
